Charlie Moreno-Romero is a Colombian son of Martha and father of Sofia :), who has experience as pedagogue and learner in Colombia, Italy, Spain and Estonia. He has studied philology (BA), anthropology (MA) and education (PhD). His research interests include counter-educational publics, unschooling, democratic education and education for social justice. Currently, he is the head of studies of Suvemäe, Estonia’s first democratic school within a public school.
For the online conference, Charlie will elaborate on the theoretical abd pragmatical relationships between democratic education and a framework desihned for the promotion of education for social justice and inclusion.
For the offline conference, Charlie will share the experience of Suvemäe, including its conception, preparation process, challenges, bureaucratic obstacles, and impact on the 65 children that attend it.
